Regular Season Round 13: Point Chaud - Belfius Namur 63-77

Division I top team - Belfius Namur (12-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Point Chaud (8-5) in Sprimont 77-63. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Point Chaud. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-63. Belfius Namur dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Point Chaud's 20. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Kathy Wambe (176-81) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. Mali power forward Djenebou Sissoko (186-82, college: Union, TN) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Belfius Namur players scored in double figures. point guard Julie Allemand (173-96) answered with 11 points and 6 rebounds and American center Drey Mingo (191-89, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) added 16 points in the effort for Point Chaud. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-1 record, which they share with Castors Braine. Point Chaud at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Belfius Namur is looking forward to face Kangoeroes (#5) in Boom in the next round. Point Chaud will play on the road against Houthalen and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
