No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked SKY/Basquete (6-7) beat 14th ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (3-7) in Aldeota 84-80 on Tuesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-15. But Paschoalotto/Bauru won second period 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when SKY/Basquete won last quarter 27-24. They also forced 21 Paschoalotto/Bauru turnovers. American point guard Brandon Brown (178-89, college: Montana-West) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Andre Bresolin (195-87) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. SKY/Basquete's coach Alberto Bial used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Murilo Becker (210-83) added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Paschoalotto/Bauru. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKY/Basquete have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Palmeiras. Paschoalotto/Bauru lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. SKY/Basquete will face Macae (#16) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Unitri and hope to win that game.
