Regular Season Round 13: Hapoel Kazrin - Hapoel K/S 75-70

Leader Hapoel Kazrin delivered the eleventh victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (6-7) 75-70. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward David Loubeau (203-89, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). His fellow American import forward Erik Etherly (201, college: Loyola, MD) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Hapoel Kazrin's coach Ziv Bartana allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and Yariv Amiram (203-94) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Kfar Saba. Hapoel Kazrin have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record, which they share with Ironi Nahariya. Hapoel Kfar Saba at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Elizur Ashkelon. Hapoel Kazrin will play against Hapoel Afula (#5) at home in the next round. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play against Ironi Ashkelon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
