Regular Season Round 14: Asker Aliens - Ammerud Bskt 105-88

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Ammerud Bskt (9-4) on the court of fifth ranked Asker Aliens on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Asker Aliens 105-88. The game without a history. Asker Aliens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Asker Aliens forced 21 Ammerud Bskt turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Asker Aliens looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Anders Stien (195-90) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Asker Aliens' coach Rob Knight used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Ronald Timus (196-84, college: Morgan St.) replied with 24 points and 4 assists and forward Dag Christensen (201-80) added 3 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Ammerud Bskt. Five Asker Aliens and four Ammerud Bskt players scored in double figures. Asker Aliens (7-3) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Baerum Basket. Ammerud Bskt lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with four games lost. Asker Aliens is looking forward to face Baerum Basket (#4) in Bekkestua in the next round. Ammerud Bskt will have a break next round.
