Regular Season Round 15: Windsor - Laurier 88-79

The game between Top Four teams took place in Windsor, ON. Second ranked host Lancers (7-4) defeated 3rd placed Golden Hawks (5-6) 88-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Golden Hawks. It looked good early as Golden Hawks took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Lancers had a 22-12 second period charge getting the lead and Golden Hawks were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-88. It was a good game for the former international forward Lien Phillip (203-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. point guard Enrico Diloreto (185-90) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Lancers players scored in double figures. Guard William Coulthard (188) answered with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Jamar Forde (190) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Golden Hawks. Golden Hawks' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lancers maintains second place with 7-4 record having just two points less than leader McGill, which they share with Lethbridge and York. Golden Hawks at the other side keep the third position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
