Everything could happen in London, ON at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Mustangs and 6th ranked Gryphons had identical 2-8 record. This time Mustangs used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Guelph, ON 84-79 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-79. Mustangs made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. Gryphons were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Cameron Morris (196) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Peter Scholtes (196) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Zachary Angus (185) with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Daniel Dooley (186) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Mustangs (3-8) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Brandon. Gryphons lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
