Regular Season Round 22: Sichuan BW - Liaoning H. 104-102

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Sichuan BW (8-14) edged at home higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (11-11) 104-102 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 104-102. Sichuan BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sichuan BW made 10 blocks. Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) fired 30 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Sichuan BW's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) produced 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Sichuan BW and five Liaoning Hunters players scored in double figures. Sichuan BW moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Foshan LL. Liaoning Hunters at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Sichuan BW will face Shanxi Zhongyu (#17) in Taiyuan in the next round.
