Regular Season Round 22: Foshan LL - Jilin NE T. 109-114

There was a small surprise when sixteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (7-15) defeated on the road 13th ranked Foshan (8-14) 114-109 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 29-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Jilin Tigers shot 63.1 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Foshan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Foshan was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) fired a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winners. The other American import forward Leon Rodgers (201-80, college: N.Illinois) chipped in 31 points. American guard Thomas Young (191-87, college: Indiana, PA) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds and forward Junwei Ren (203-90) added 14 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. Four Jilin Tigers and five Foshan players scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers moved-up to fifteenth place. Foshan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Jilin Tigers will face higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#10) in Yingkou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
