Regular Season Round 14: Heffingen - Amicale 70-68

The most exciting game of round 14 in the Total League took place in Heffingen. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Amicale (13-2) to tenth ranked Heffingen (2-13) 70-68 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Amicale won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sudanese power forward Teeng Akol (211-88, college: W.Kentucky) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. International power forward Billy McDaniel (199-84, college: Ark.-Monticello) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Eric Jeitz (191-86) scored 15 points. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Heffingen maintains tenth position with 2-13 record. Amicale at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Heffingen are looking forward to face higher ranked Musel Pikes (#6) in Stadrbredimus in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Amicale will play on the road against Soleuvre (#9) in Belvaux and is hoping to win this game.
