The game in Minsk was also quite interesting. Third ranked Svisloch (11-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Tsmoki-Minsk II (5-10). Svisloch managed to secure a 8-point victory 83-75 on Friday. Tsmoki-Minsk II trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 18-13 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 75-83 at the end of the game. Svisloch made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Tsmoki-Minsk II outrebounded Svisloch 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Sergej Vabischevich (190-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 assists. Aliaksandr Hrumiantsau (205-91) helped adding 21 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Siarhei Kazlou (200-95) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Yauheni Beliankou (197-95) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Tsmoki-Minsk II players scored in double figures. Svisloch maintains third place with 11-4 record having four points less than leader Grodno-93. Loser Tsmoki-Minsk II keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Svisloch will meet at home Rubon (#6) in the next round. Tsmoki-Minsk II will play against Borisfen in Mogilev and hope to secure a win.
