Quite upsetting was Citadines' home defeat in a game versus Stingers 64-53. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 35-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Stingers forced 19 Citadines turnovers and outrebounded them 46-35 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Adam Chmielewski (182, college: St.Francis, NY) fired 12 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Guard Mukiya Post (192) chipped in 20 points. Stingers' coach John Dore used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Alexandre Bernard (196) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Richard Addai (180-88) added 17 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. Stingers maintains third position with 2-3 record having thirteen points less than leader McGill. Citadines lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. Stingers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Citadines' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face again at home their local rival from Montreal, QC Stingers.
