Undefeated Redmen (5-1) recorded its first loss in Montreal, QC. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Rouge et Or (2-4) 78-68. The game was mostly controlled by Rouge et Or. Redmen was better in second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-33 charity shots (78.8 percent) during the game, while Redmen only scored eight points from the stripe. Rouge et Or forced 20 Redmen turnovers. The winners were led by naturalized Bosnian power forward Boris Hadzimuratovic (206-91, college: High School) who scored that evening 17 points and 8 rebounds and Belgian Thibaud Dezutter (191) supported him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by swingman Vincent Dufort (196) did not help to save the game for Redmen. Forward Francois Bourque (198) added 12 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rouge et Or maintains fourth position with 2-4 record. Redmen at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
