Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Shanghai Sharks (15-8) and Jiangsu Dragons (10-13), which took place in Nanjing. 4th placed Shanghai Sharks lost to twelfth ranked Jiangsu Dragons in a road game 95-106 on Friday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shanghai Sharks. The game was mostly controlled by Jiangsu Dragons. Shanghai Sharks managed to win third quarter 31-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jiangsu Dragons forced 19 Shanghai Sharks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Shanghai Sharks' players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard XueFeng Hu (185-80) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists. American power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) accounted for 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) came up with 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import Darnell Jackson (203-85, college: Kansas) added 18 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Shanghai Sharks in the defeat. Four Jiangsu Dragons and five Shanghai Sharks players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jiangsu Dragons maintains twelfth place with 10-13 record. Loser Shanghai Sharks keep the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with DongGuan L.. Jiangsu Dragons will meet at home league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shanghai Sharks will play against Bayi Rockets in Ningbo and hope to secure a win.
