Regular Season Round 31: Toros - Gansos 102-83

There was no surprise in Nuevo Laredo where 14th ranked Gansos (2-27) were crushed by sixth ranked Toros (15-8) 102-83 on Friday. The game without a history. Toros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Toros looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Demond Allen helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Toros players scored in double figures. Toros' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American point guard Ryan McCoy (183-87, college: La-Lafayette) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import CamRon Clay (203-82) scored 16 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Toros maintains sixth place with 15-8 record. Loser Gansos stay dead last with 27 lost games. Toros will meet at home Angeles (#8) in the next round. Gansos will play against Fuerza Regia (#5) in Monterrey and hope to secure a win.
