Very predictable result when fourth ranked Lyon (11-3) smashed at home 11th ranked Arras (4-10) 87-61 on Friday. The game without a history. Lyon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 23 Arras turnovers. German forward Romy Baer (187-87) scored 19 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Melanie Plust (173-89) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Lyon players scored in double figures. Lyon's coach Marina Maljkovic felt very confident using entire bench saving starting five for next games. Forward Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi (183-95) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and power forward Aurelie Carmona (185-87) scored 12 points. Lyon have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-3 record. Arras lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost.
