Regular Season Round 23: Beijing Ducks - Guangsha L. 114-104

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Beijing Ducks (17-6) defeated at home 7th ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (13-10) 114-104 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 10 points. Beijing Ducks made 33-of-41 free shots (80.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. International forward Lin Chang (206-88, college: Long Beach St.) accounted for 26 points and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side. American center Chris Johnson (210-85, college: LSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Taiwanese guard Zhijie Lin (192-82) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in the defeat. Five Beijing Ducks and four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Beijing Ducks maintains third place with 17-6 record having just three points less than leader Guangdong ST. Loser Zhejiang Guangsha Lions dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with TianJin S. and Fujian QB. Beijing Ducks will meet league's leader Guandong Tigers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play against Fujian (#8) in Jinjiang and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
