Regular Season Round 14: Waterloo - Lakehead 60-89

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Waterloo (2-8) was rolled over at home by sixth ranked Thunderwolves (5-6) 89-60 on Friday. The game without a history. Thunderwolves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Waterloo's 30. Thunderwolves forced 19 Waterloo turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Jylisa Williams (173-89, college: Georgia St.) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. British guard Kelsey Bardsley (171-90) chipped in 15 points. Guard Marti Killeen (180) produced 8 points and 9 rebounds and guard Kristen Osborne (173) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunderwolves maintains sixth position with 5-6 record which they share with defeated Waterloo. Waterloo lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. Thunderwolves will have a break next round.
