Regular Season Round 23: Orchy - St Vallier 69-76

Everything could happen in Orchies at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Saint Vallier and 17th ranked Orchesien BC had identical 7-15 record. But Orchesien BC was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Saint Vallier 76-69. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-13. But Orchesien BC won second period 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Orchesien BC 38-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Orchesien BC's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saint Vallier maintains sixteenth place with 8-15 record. Newly promoted Orchesien BC keeps the seventeenth position with 16 games lost. Saint Vallier's next round opponent will be higher ranked Nantes (#13) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orchesien BC will play against Aix-Maurienne (#4) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
