Regular Season Round 14: AZS Koszalin - Trefl Sopot 65-66

The most exciting game of round 14 in the TBL took place in Koszalin. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th ranked AZS Koszalin (6-8) to second ranked Trefl Sopot (10-3) 66-65 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The former international Pawel Leonczyk (202-86) saved the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. International Michal Michalak (196-93) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Trefl Sopot's coach Darius Maskoliunas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American LaceDarius Dunn (193-87, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and his fellow American import guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) added 12 points in the effort for AZS Koszalin. Trefl Sopot maintains second position with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader Stelmet ZG. AZS Koszalin at the other side dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Asseco. Trefl Sopot are looking forward to face Anwil (#4) in Wloclawek in the next round. AZS Koszalin will play at home against the league's leader Stelmet ZG (#1) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
