Regular Season Round 15: Stal Ostrow - Start Lublin 92-97

No shocking result in a game in Ostrow Wlkp. where seventh ranked Start Lublin (9-6) defeated 9th ranked Stal Ostrow (6-9) 97-92 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Stal Ostrow won third quarter 32-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stal Ostrow was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Patryk Pelka (202-89) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Wojciech Szawarski (195-76) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Marcin Dymala (188-90) who recorded 21 points and center Wojciech Zurawski (205-76) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Four Start Lublin and five Stal Ostrow players scored in double figures. Stal Ostrow's coach Krzysztof Szablowski let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Start Lublin moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Wilki Morskie. Stal Ostrow lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Start Lublin will face league's leader SIDEn Torun at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stal Ostrow will play against Znicz Basket (#10) in Pruszkow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
