Regular Season Round 13: LTB 29 - Pau Orthez 74-70

The game between third ranked Pau Lacq Orthez (9-3) and fifth ranked LTB 29 (7-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Pau Lacq Orthez was defeated by LTB 29 in a tough game in Pleyber-Christ 70-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Pau Lacq Orthez. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Pau Lacq Orthez won third quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LTB 29 made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The former international Amelie Pochet (180-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Slovakian forward Adriana Gresnerova (180-86) chipped in 25 points. At the losing side Senegalese forward Awa Gueye (182-78) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Pau Lacq Orthez players scored in double figures. LTB 29 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with SIG. Pau Lacq Orthez at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. LTB 29 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pau Lacq Orthez will play on the road against Charnay in Charnay-les-Macon and is hoping to win this game.
