Regular Season Round 14: Slask 2 Wroclaw - Sudety 70-54

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Sudety (6-8) lost on the road to sixth ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (8-7) 70-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Slask 2 Wroclaw. Sudety was better in third quarter 19-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Slask 2 Wroclaw won last quarter 22-7. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sudety to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Sudety 47-31 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Maksym Kulon (190-93) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Lukasz Malinowski (195-89) contributed with 9 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jakub Czech (203-84, agency: Promotex) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Pawel Minciel (203-88) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sudety. Newly promoted Slask 2 Wroclaw maintains sixth position in Group B with 8-7 record. Sudety lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. Slask 2 Wroclaw will face league's leader GKS Tychy on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sudety will play against Cieszyn (#11) and hope to win that game.
