Regular Season Round 15: Al Rayyan - Al Khor 73-66

D1 top team - Al Rayyan (14-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Al Khor (7-8) in Doha 73-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Khor. Al Rayyan forced 20 Al Khor turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international forward Tanguy Ngombo (197-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Hassan Mohamed (190-91) helped adding 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Jamarr Hardy (191-83, college: Lenoir CC) with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Tunisian center Mokhtar Ghayaza (204-86) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-1 record. Newly promoted Al Khor keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Arabi.
