Regular Season Round 28: Hamamatsu P. - Aomori Watts 70-57

No shocking result in a game in Mikawa where fourth ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (14-11) defeated 8th ranked Aomori Watts (10-13) 70-57 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 44-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists and the former international guard Masahiro Masahiro (172-76) who added 8 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard Yuki Kitamuki (184-85) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hamamatsu Phoenix moved-up to third place. Loser Aomori Watts keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Hamamatsu Phoenix will again meet at home Aomori Watts (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Aomori Watts will have a break next round.
