Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Roseto (8-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Omegna (10-6) 92-78 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Omegna's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-18 extending their advantage to 14 points. They made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Mike James (185-90, college: Lamar) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Giacomo Gurini (192-84, agency: Two Points) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-6 record behind leader Ferrara, which they share with Lucca and Matera. Newly promoted Roseto dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. Omegna will face Chieti (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roseto will play against Lucca and hope to win that game.
