2Liga top team - GKS Tychy (13-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Nysa Klodzko (6-7) in Kloszko 78-72. It was a great shooting night for GKS Tychy especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Tomasz Bzdyra (200-83) notched 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Marceli Dziemba (186-92) supported him with 14 points. GKS Tychy's coach Tomasz Jagielka allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Maciej Lepczynski (194-83) did not help to save the game for Nysa Klodzko. Center Jaroslaw Bartkowiak (201-85) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Nysa Klodzko players scored in double figures. GKS Tychy have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 13-1 record, which they share with GTK Gliwice. Loser Nysa Klodzko keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. GKS Tychy will meet at home Slask 2 Wroclaw (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Nysa Klodzko will play against Mickiewicz in Katowice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
