Regular Season Round 24: Inter Bratislava - Nitra 74-75

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Inter Bratislava (17-5) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked Nitra (16-5) 75-74. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Nitra made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Slovenian center Salih Nuhanovic (210-82) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Viliam Kosa (190-86) contributed with 20 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Serbian point guard Nenad Milosevic (190-83) replied with 14 points and 6 assists and American guard Justin Graham (193-88, college: San Jose St.) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Inter Bratislava. Nitra have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-5 record behind leader Inter Bratislava. Defending champion Inter Bratislava still keeps top place with five games lost. Nitra are looking forward to face Rieker KN (#4) in Komarno in the next round. Inter Bratislava will play on the road against Handlova and is hoping to win this game.
