An interesting game took place in Seu D'urgell where higher ranked Cadi ICG S. (5-7) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Ibaizabal (4-8) 65-51 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cadi ICG S.. The game was mostly controlled by Ibaizabal. Cadi ICG S. managed to win third quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cadi ICG S. to just 3 points in fourth quarter. The best player for the winners was American forward Margaret Roundtree (183-88, college: Gardner-Webb) who scored 16 points. point guard Juana Molina-Prados (174-91) chipped in 17 points. Roundtree is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American center LaNedra Brown (188-81, college: Seton Hall) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Maria Revuelto (181-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 14 points respectively. Newly promoted Ibaizabal maintains eleventh position with 4-8 record. Loser Cadi ICG S. dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Pais Vasco and Conquero. Ibaizabal will meet at home higher ranked Gran Canaria (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cadi ICG S. will play against Argon Uni Girona (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
