Regular Season Round 16: Beijing - Bayi 91-73

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Bayi Kylin (6-10) was defeated on the road by second ranked Beijing Great Wall (13-3) 91-73 on Saturday. Beijing Great Wall made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Bayi Kylin turnovers. Bayi Kylin was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) fired 37 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. Power forward XiaoYu Sun (190-84) chipped in 17 points. The former international forward Lu Wen (188-90) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and point guard Jiayi Zuo (178-92) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Beijing Great Wall maintains second position with 13-3 record having just two points less than leader Shanxi. Loser Bayi Kylin keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Beijing Great Wall will face Zhejiang Far East (#6) in Hangzhou in the next round. Bayi Kylin will play on the road against Heilongjiang Chenneng in Harbin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
