Regular Season Round 15: TWU - Winnipeg 61-80

Date: January 11, 2014
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked TWU (2-11) was outscored by fifth ranked Wesmen (5-8) in Langley 80-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Wesmen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 29 TWU turnovers. It was a good game for guard Stephanie Kleysen (178) who led her team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Guard Megan Noonan (170) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Holly Strom (180) answered with 8 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kayla Gordon (180) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for TWU. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wesmen maintains fifth place with 5-8 record, which they share with Lethbridge. Loser TWU keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
