Regular Season Round 15: Netanya - Hapoel Eilat 78-84

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Hapoel Eilat (8-7) beat on the road 9th ranked GreenTops Netanya (6-9) 84-78. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-17. But GreenTops Netanya won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Eilat made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by GreenTops Netanya helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was Terrence Roderick (196-88, college: UAB, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Christian Watford (206-91, college: Indiana) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St.) who recorded 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Dawan Robinson (188-82, college: Rhode Island) added 21 points and 6 assists respectively. GreenTops Netanya's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hapoel Eilat moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hapoel Holon. GreenTops Netanya at the other side keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Hapoel Eilat's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maccabi Haifa (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GreenTops Netanya will play against Maccabi Rishon (#11) in Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
