LF2 round 9 most important game was a victory of Segle XXI over 5th ranked IF Air Europa 60-54 on Sunday night. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. It was a good game for forward Ana Calvo (183-96) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Laia Raventos (170-97) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Ashley Bruner (183, college: S.Carolina) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and guard Maria Espana (175-92) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for IF Air Europa. Segle XXI (5-4) moved-up to fifth place in Group B. Newly promoted IF Air Europa dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Estudiantes. Segle XXI are looking forward to face league's second-placed Alcobendas at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IF Air Europa will play against the league's leader Gernika (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
