Regular Season Round 15: MKS DG - Znicz Basket 90-75

The game with biggest result difference took place in Dabrowa Gornicza. Local MKS DG (11-4) beat 10th ranked Znicz Basket (4-11) 90-75 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by MKS DG. Znicz Basket was better in third quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 29-of-36 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MKS DG made 13 blocks. Znicz Basket was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Michal Woloszyn (201-84) who scored 33 points (!!!). Center Piotr Zielinski (200-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and Michal Aleksandrowicz (192-89) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Znicz Basket's coach Michal Spychala rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for MKS DG. They maintain third place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader SIDEn Torun. Znicz Basket lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. MKS DG will face AZS PP (#12) in Poznan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Znicz Basket will play at home against Stal Ostrow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
