Regular Season Round 15: KK Hito - Tarvas 67-100

Date: January 12, 2014
Bottom-ranked KK Hito (0-17) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 100-67 loss to second ranked BC Rakvere (12-5) in Johvi on Sunday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. BC Rakvere led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BC Rakvere forced 19 KK Hito turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international forward Rait Keerles (201-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. International point guard Kristo Saage (187-85) helped adding 27 points and 4 steals. Five BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Joseph Prophet (193, college: SW Baptist) with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Siim Laur (189-87) scored 20 points. KK Hito's coach Priit Sternhof gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. BC Rakvere have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-5 record behind leader TU/Rock. Loser KK Hito still closes the standings. BC Rakvere will meet at home league's leader TU/Rock in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KK Hito will play against TTU (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
