Very important is a home loss of second ranked Adelaide 36ers (11-5) against seventh ranked Kings (6-8) on Sunday night. Host Adelaide 36ers were defeated by Kings in Findon 102-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Adelaide 36ers. The game was mostly controlled by Kings. Adelaide 36ers was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Adelaide 36ers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) contributed with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International guard Adam Gibson (188-86) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. Five Kings and four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kings moved-up to fourth place. Adelaide 36ers at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. Kings will play against higher ranked Melbourne Tigers (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adelaide 36ers will play against Townsville Crocodiles and hope to get back on the winning track.
