An interesting game for Broni (7-4) which hosted in Broni 4th ranked Meccanica NB (5-5). Second ranked Broni managed to get a 14-point victory 82-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Meccanica NB. The game was mostly controlled by Broni. Meccanica NB was better in third quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Broni forced 21 Meccanica NB turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Arianna Zampieri (183-88) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. International center Maria Laterza (191-89, college: Marist, agency: Two Points) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Broni players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Sara Crudo (184-95) who recorded 18 points and the former international forward Alessandra Tava (183-91) added 17 points respectively. They have a solid three-game winning streak. Broni maintains second position in Center with 7-4 record behind leader Udine. Meccanica NB at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Broni's next round opponent will be Civitanova (#6) in Civitanova Marche. Meccanica NB will play on the road against Ferrara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
