Regular Season Round 15: Hapoel T-A - Hapoel Holon 70-75

The game between second ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (9-5) and seventh ranked Hapoel Holon (8-7) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Hapoel Tel-Aviv was defeated by Hapoel Holon in a tough game in Tel-Aviv 70-75. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hapoel Tel-Aviv. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. It was a good game for naturalized American power forward Isaac Rosefelt (204-85, college: St.Thomas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Laurence Bowers (203, college: Missouri) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. American guard Carlon Brown (195-89, college: Colorado) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import power forward Josh Owens (203-88, college: Stanford) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Hapoel Holon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat. Hapoel Tel-Aviv at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. Hapoel Holon is looking forward to face league's leader Hapoel Jerusalem at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
