Regular Season Round 30: Okinawa GK - Takamatsu FA 91-64

BJ League top team - Okinawa GK (21-3) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Takamatsu FA (13-13) 91-64. The game without a history. Okinawa GK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Takamatsu FA's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Jeff Newton (205-81, college: Indiana) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. Okinawa GK's coach Tsutomu Isa felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Sean Smith (200-85, college: N.Illinois) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Okinawa GK maintains first position with 21-3 record. Takamatsu FA at the other side keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Okinawa GK are looking forward to face Yokohama BC (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Takamatsu FA will play against Shinshu BW in Nagano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
