Regular Season Round 25: Jiangsu D. - Shanxi Zh. 117-96

No shocking result in a game in Nanjing where twelfth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (11-14) smashed 17th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (6-19) 117-96 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Jiangsu Dragons. Shanxi Zhongyu was better in second period 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jiangsu Dragons forced 31 Shanxi Zhongyu turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Jiangsu Dragons especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) fired 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. American swingman Marcus Williams (200-86, college: Arizona, agency: Interperformances) produced 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and center PengFei Yan (208-93) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Jiangsu Dragons and five Shanxi Zhongyu players scored in double figures. Shanxi Zhongyu's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Jiangsu Dragons maintains twelfth place with 11-14 record, which they share with Sichuan BW. Loser Shanxi Zhongyu dropped to the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face bottom-ranked Qingdao Eagles (#18) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Shanxi Zhongyu will play against Bayi Rockets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
