The game with biggest result difference took place in Urumqi. Local Xinjiang Flying Tige (20-5) outscored 16th ranked Bayi Rockets (6-19) 141-91 on Wednesday night. The game without a history. Xinjiang Flying Tige led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Bayi Rockets' 46. They outrebounded Bayi Rockets 51-26 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Xinjiang Flying Tige shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Bayi Rockets' players. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) fired 31 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach WanJun Cui felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. International swingman Bo Zhang (199-89) produced 29 points and 5 steals and the former international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Xinjiang Flying Tige. They maintain second place with 20-5 record having just two points less than leader Guangdong ST. Bayi Rockets lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#6) in Hangzhou in the next round. Bayi Rockets will play on the road against Shanxi Zhongyu (#17) in Taiyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
