Regular Season Round 13: KFI - Keflavik 75-93

There was no surprise in Isafjordur where 9th ranked KFI (3-10) was defeated by second ranked Keflavik (12-1) 93-75. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) accounted for 32 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. American point guard Joshua Brown (187-88, college: Towson) came up with 36 points (!!!) (made all of his eight free throws) and the former international forward Mirko Virijevic (201-81, college: Freed-Hardeman) added 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for KFI in the defeat. Keflavik have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with KR. KFI at the other side keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. Keflavik's next round opponent will be Njardvik (#4) in Njardvik. KFI will play on the road against Thor Thorl (#5) in Thorlakshofn and hope to win that game.
