There was no surprise when 8th ranked Bisons (1-12) lost to sixth ranked Bobcats (5-8) in Winnipeg, MB 73-89 on Friday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 53-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Bobcats shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Ilarion Bonhomme (180) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists. Guard Emerick Ravier (191) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Andre Arruda-Welch (193) answered with 19 points and forward Dan Penner (201) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Bisons. Five Bobcats and four Bisons players scored in double figures. Bisons' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bobcats have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Calgary and Western. Bisons lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Bobcats will have a break next round. Bisons will play again on the road against Bobcats (#6) in Brandon, MB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
