Regular Season Round 19: Toronto - Ottawa 75-113

Date: January 17, 2014
Everything went according to plan when third ranked Gee-Gees (11-1) outplayed 8th ranked Blues (2-10) in Toronto, ON 113-75 on Friday. The game without a history. Gee-Gees led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Quite impressive performance for guard Caleb Agada (193) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Mohammed Ismail (193) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five Gee-Gees players scored in double figures. Guard Matt Savel (185) answered with 16 points and 4 assists and naturalized Greek guard Alex Hill (196-90, college: Cornell) added 16 points in the effort for Blues. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gee-Gees have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Blues lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Gee-Gees will face Rams (#3) in Toronto, ON in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Blues will play on the road against the league's leader Ravens (#1) in Ottawa, ON and hope to win that game.
