Regular Season Round 15: Slask Wroclaw - Kotwica 79-65

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Kotwica (3-12) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Slask Wroclaw (8-7) 79-65 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Slask Wroclaw. Kotwica managed to win fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American center Paul Miller (208-82, college: Wichita St.) who scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Danny Gibson (177-84, college: S.Indiana) chipped in 9 points and 8 assists. Slask Wroclaw's coach Jerzy Chudeusz used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Terell Parks (204-91, college: W.Illinois) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the former international center Rafal Bigus (214-76, college: Villanova) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Slask Wroclaw have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Energa Czarni and Rosa Radom. Kotwica lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Polpharma and Stabill Jezioro. Slask Wroclaw will meet Energa Czarni (#6) in the next round. Kotwica will play against Asseco (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
