2Liga top team - Legia (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Trefl II Sopot (8-6) 83-49. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trefl II Sopot. The game without a history. Legia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl II Sopot's 22. They outrebounded Trefl II Sopot 47-29 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Andrzej Paszkiewicz (180-79) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Damian Cechniak (208-93) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Grzegorz Kulka (203-96) scored 4 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Legia. They maintain first place in Group A with 13-1 record. Loser Trefl II Sopot keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Legia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Warszawa Polonia W-wa.
