Regular Season Round 31: Okinawa GK - Yokohama BC 77-67

Leader Okinawa GK delivered the twentieth second victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Yokohama BC (13-12) 77-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Yokohama BC. Okinawa GK forced 23 Yokohama BC turnovers. Strangely Yokohama BC outrebounded Okinawa GK 46-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 assists. American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) helped adding 12 points and 6 assists. Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield, agency: Norton Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import power forward Marquise Gray (206-86, college: Michigan St.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Yokohama BC's coach Michael Katsuhisa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Okinawa GK maintains first place with 22-3 record. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Okinawa GK will again meet at home Yokohama BC (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Yokohama BC will have a break next round.
