Leader Groningen recorded the seventeenth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked M.Magixx (11-8) 72-50 in Nijmegen. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Groningen's pressure prevailed and they won that period 26-11 extending their advantage to 22 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to M.Magixx's 28. Groningen had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Cashmere Wright (183-90, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) nailed 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Daniel Coleman (206-85, college: Minnesota) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds. American swingman Patrick Richard (196-90, college: McNeese St., agency: KMG Sports Management) came up with 12 points and center Sjors Poels (209-86, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for M.Magixx in the defeat. Groningen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-4 record. M.Magixx at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Groningen's next round opponent will be Leiden (#6) on the road which should be theoretically another easy game. M.Magixx will play against Den Helder and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
