Regular Season Round 18: Yunnan - Beijing 60-77

Very expected game when 10th ranked Qujing Yunnan (3-14) was defeated at home by third ranked Beijing Great Wall (14-4) 77-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Great Wall. Qujing Yunnan managed to win fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Australian center Elizabeth Cambage (203-91) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Ting Shao (183-89) chipped in 20 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American center Lindsay Taylor (203-81, college: UCSB) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and forward Betty Cao (180-87) added 17 points respectively. Beijing Great Wall moved-up to second place, which they share with Shanghai. Loser Qujing Yunnan keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Beijing Great Wall will meet Guangdong Dolphins (#4) in the next round. Qujing Yunnan will play against Heilongjiang Chenneng (#6) and hope to secure a win.
