Rather predictable result in Tokyo where eighth ranked Niigata (5-9) beat 11th ranked Ebara Vickies (1-13) 70-61 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 42-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) who scored 30 points. Forward Nana Kondo (177-88) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Inamoto Satoko (165-84) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Niigata moved-up to seventh place. Ebara Vickies at the other side keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Niigata will have a break next round. Ebara Vickies' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face again at home their local rival from Tokyo Niigata.
