Regular Season Round 15: GTK Gdynia - Notec 73-82

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Notec (9-5) beat on the road 7th ranked GTK Gdynia (6-7) 82-73 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Notec made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for forward Mikolaj Grod (194-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Hubert Wierzbicki (196-91, agency: Promotex) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was guard Filip Matczak (187-93) with 24 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-95) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four GTK Gdynia players scored in double figures. GTK Gdynia's coach Michal Mroz let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Notec maintains fourth place in Group A with 9-5 record. Loser GTK Gdynia dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Notec will face Suchy Las (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. GTK Gdynia will play against Korsarz Gdansk and hope to win that game.
